UFO Update: Nancy Talbott and Crop Circles
People interested in crop circles are familiar with the investigations of Nancy Talbott. Nancy has contributed a great deal to the international reporting on crop circles, and to the sampling network of trained field investigators. Nancy has succeeded in bringing scientific consultants to crop circle study, including scientists with expertise in geology, mineralogy, chemistry, and many other areas. In 2003, Nancy addressed the 15th Annual Ozark UFO Conference in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Here are some excerpts of her lecture, where Nancy gives examples of several types of crop circle evidence beginning with the unnaturally “exploded” or blown-out stems …
“…are the knuckle-like protuberances on the plant stem which have been stretched as the internal moisture which has turned to steam has to escape. Not just simple circles, but complex events that have circles in them, will often fit the law in physics known as the Beer-Lambert Principle. What we have discovered is the node length increase decreased slowly as a function of distance away from the center, and furthermore it fit this law of physics which described the absorption of electromagnetic energy by matter, and it fit well enough to demonstrate very clearly the Beer-Lambert Principle was apparently at work, which of course means that electromagnetic radiation was what we were looking at.
“Frequently what happens is that if there is a seed present or if the seed is partially formed what you get is this difference: shrunken and dehydrated seeds from inside the crop circle from the flattened crop. What happens when you germinate those you get a massive repression of germination, the lengths don’t grow normally. Sometimes they don’t germinate at all. So one thing that happens when crop circles occur in fairly young crop is that the plant is basically sterilized. It cannot reproduce. When I first heard about this finding it immediately struck me that’s very important. If we have no seeds, we have no crops for next year, we can’t feed the animals and we can’t feed ourselves. And I like to eat.
In hybridized crop, the crop has been genetically manipulated to grow at exactly the same rate. But in crop that has not been hybridized, seeds which are not hybridized…they grow variously, they grow at various rates throughout the growing cycle. When some crop circles have occurred in such crop what happens is a total synchronicity of growth rate. Instead of growing variously (they) grow at the exact same rate, which is not normal for this variety of plant.
In crop circles that occur when the seed is fully formed, this would be from mid-July on, what frequently happens is an increase in growth rate. The seeds themselves will be dehydrated. They will be smaller. They will weigh less. But when they’re germinated they grow up to five times the rate of normal, they produce greater yield than the plants they produce, and they will do it without light and water for long periods of time.
We know that in crop circles the crop is laid down in layers. It is not just one simple layer around the top. Frequently if you pick that up, you see a layer going in the other direction. I personally have seen 3 separate layers. I’ve heard from other researchers that 5 upon occasion have been observed.
One of the increasingly interesting aspects to the crop circle phenomenon is the ability of this energy system to vary specifically affect one thing and not another, within millimeters of each other. It seems to be capable of extraordinarily precise demonstration of the energies.
Circles appear from the air, by and large, to be perfectly circular. In fact many of them occur on slopes, and when they occur on slopes and they’re measured carefully, what we find is that in fact they are ellipses. They photograph as circles if you are directly above them, but apparently whatever makes them is directly overhead and is accounting for the slopes of the hills. It suggests to me that the delivery system is in fact directly overhead.
I got a call from a photographer friend of mine who had been taking photographs from a helicopter, and she had both a digital camera and a 35 mm film camera. Her habit is to fly in the helicopter perhaps at 1000 feet and circle once and shoot the digital camera, then circle again and shoot with the 35mm.
What she noticed as the helicopter descended from about 500 feet down was that the digital image began to lose color. It was in full color at 500 feet, but when the plane got down to about 300 feet, there was no color whatsoever. The image was there but it was in black and white. Meanwhile she’s still shooting with the film camera and has no way of knowing until it’s developed what has happened to the film. When it was developed what was discovered was that not only the color disappeared as the plane descended, the image did also, so that at about 250 feet there was no image whatsoever on the film, and yet every time the plane would go back up, both the image and the color would return.
Every time the plane went back down, we would lose it.
What this suggests to me very strongly is there’s some kind of energy emanating from this formation even 2 days after it had been formed, which is extending upwards to at least 250 feet above the formation.
Frequently I’ll get calls from the farmers telling me that they were harvesting in their tractors as they approached a circle, the tractors would just cut out, the engines would stop. Frequently batteries are drained and they can’t proceed.
